POLITICS: Governor Fayose withdraws workers’ salaries after payment

Edeson Online News has been briefed of a 2 days warning strike which is expected to start today by the Ekiti State chapter of Nigerian Union of Teachers. This was made known by Samuel Akosile, the state chairman of NUT. Edeson Online News gathered that Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose quietly withdrew civil servants salaries including Teachers salaries from their bank account after they received alerts of November and December 2015 salaries.

Chief Press Secretary to Fayose, Idowu Adelusi blamed the inability of Fayose to pay Workers salaries due to his predecessor, Ayo Feyemi. He stated that Fayemi took outrageous loans to run the affairs of Ekiti when he was the governor of the State.
To recover from the debt, Governor Ayo Fayose pays a whooping sum of N950 Million monthly to pay for the loans Fayemi administration took.
