We have been informed that MTN Group President and Chief Executive
Officer, Sifiso Dabengwa, just resigned today over the N1.04tn fine
imposed on MTN Nigeria by NCC. A new Executive chairman,
Phuthuma Nhleko has been appointed to act temporarily for period of 6
months while the company identifies a successor for Dabengwa.
