Former Bayelsa Governor, Diepreye Solomon Peter Alamieyeseigha is
dead, a source in Bayelsa State has revealed. Alamieyeseigha died today
at University of Port-Harcourt Teaching hospital , Rivers State where
he was said to have been rushed after suffering a cardiac arrest earlier
in the week. The Bayelsa State Commissioner for Information, Esueme Dan-Kikili, have also confirmed the news
He revealed that Mr Alamieyeseigha reportedly slipped into a coma two days ago and was placed on life support.
There were reports during the week that the British Government was determined to resurrect an outstanding case of money laundering against the former governor and had requested for his extradition to London.
Alamieyeseigha,
who was facing money laundering charges, jumped bail and returned to
Nigeria and has since then refused to answer summons for trial to
continue.

don't understand why people are being sentimental here. somebody
committed a crime, jumped bail and his soul should rest in peace? which
