CURRENT AFFAIRS: Biafrian Embassy Now Opened In Spain

An Embassy of Biafra, set up by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been opened on Saturday, Feb. 28, in Victoria, Spain. According to a Radio Biafra broadcast from London monitored in Lagos by News Express, “it is another milestone in their drive towards Biafra’s restoration”. The embassy was opened by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Director of Radio Biafra, London. Reportedly, one more Biafra embassy would be opened in China soon. Mr. Kanu said: “We your children are gathered here in Vitoria Basque country O’Lord of Hosts,
to do that which you have divinely mandated us to do.

Today here in Northern Spain we open yet another chapter in this relentless effort to restore your kingdom upon the face of this earth. For the journey mercies you have granted us from all over the world here gathered we remain eternally grateful. From all over the world we have come to establish a firm base in this land from where your will must be done. This year belongs to us Biafrans because in the end all glory and honour will be yours and yours alone. Iseee!”

If you see any of these people in Nigerian space, you arrest them. This is treason.

Ọlá Bello

Jesse how is it treason?

Jesse Osayande Vucinic Ehiagwina

@ Ola. Biafra isn't a nation. Nor is there agitation from people of to create one. Going outside to campaign and open office like a sovereign nation is offensive as well as idiotic. If they want to be of biafra nationality, let, them go find where to go create it.

Stanley Uchenna

@ Jesse I can see you are an idiot, what's your business with that?...you don't have right to call BIAFRA agitation idotic.

Ommyl Ibukun

@stanley u re more stupid dan u appear!! u wanna air ur useless opinion go ahead and do it wivout insulting!! ode oshi!!

Jesse Osayande Vucinic Ehiagwina

@ Stanley. Also, you have a problem with comprehension. In no way did I call the agitation idiotic, the actions they took is what I called. But I guess a child who can't read won't know that, would he?.

Stanley Uchenna

@ Jesse, The idiota as you said is nobody but you!

Ọlá Bello

Brothers, we need not abuse one another... Jesse: i disagree with your statement saying Biafra isnt a nation nor is there agitation of people to create one... Look there are Biafrans well organised in more than 99 countries scattered all over the world. Do you really have a problem about the self determination of a group of people? Ask yourself the question why Biafra is recorgnised by the United Nations...

Ogbodo Henry C

let them take their useless nigeria 4:we ar tired of corruption

Jesse Osayande Vucinic Ehiagwina

@ Ola. It isn't a nation. They have no sovereignty. Recognized by the UN?. How come they don't send delegates to the general assembly as other countries do?. I don't have a problem with self determination at all but I do have with parading oneself as an independent nation when they're not. Note, as the article stated, they opened an embassy which only sovereign nations do. And they're not.

Jesse Osayande Vucinic Ehiagwina

@ Henry. Its not like the Igbos aren't corrupt. The Govs in the SE are one of the worst, non performing ones in the country. Corruption is a national problem not restricted to region. I for one saw what Igbinedion did as Gov of Edo state.

Ogbodo Henry C

@jesse when last did u visit SE and how many S.Easterners have ever tested power?

Jesse Osayande Vucinic Ehiagwina

Do they have to tÀste power to see good states being governed?. Must there be an Igbo Prez before the Govs do their damn job?. Its not like an Edo man was/is Prez that made Adams do his job. If the Govs do what they're supposed to do, the Fed work would reduce considerably.

Stanley Uchenna

@Ogbodo, Don't mind Jesse he is a confused and tribalistic man.

Endy Edeson

@ALL: without taking sides. Jesse has a point in his comment. one of the rules for a country to open embassy in other countries is that such country must be sovereign. it's an ilegal embassy since BIAFRA has not attained a nation status. even if they call the building embassy, it won't be recognise by other foreign countries like AMERICA and BRITIAN. let's see how this turn out. BIAFRAN to me is an "ADVANCED PRESSURE GROUP". though, it may take 100 of years for them to achieve their quest. it's a pity

Jesse Osayande Vucinic Ehiagwina

@ Endy. That's what I was trying to point out. Its fine fighting for independence but when it isn't realized yet even in your own country, you go and open up a supposed embassy. I don't think these people thought it out before embarking on it.

Jesse Osayande Vucinic Ehiagwina

@ Stanley. So from being an idiot to being confused and tribalistic. Like I said, comprehension is important. If you understood then you would know what being tribalistic means.

Endy Edeson

@jesse: it's really funny. but not funny. i'm still wondering why spanish government allowed such. there is more to this. let's keep our fingers crossed

Stanley Uchenna

@ Endy, '100 of hears' abi?...then just watchout, Biafrans will surely surprise you all. enemies of progress.

Yvonne Onaibe

Hmmmmmmmmm

Jesse Osayande Vucinic Ehiagwina

@ Endy. They probably are laughing their ass off. That building would've cost money.

Jesse Osayande Vucinic Ehiagwina

@ Endy. You're now an enemy of progress. Cute.

Endy Edeson

@stanley: please give me the reasons why the BIAFRAN SPANISH EMBASSY is not ilegal. i want to know. has the int'l prerequisites of setting up an embassy change? @jessy: sure. jessy: do you think biafra will one day break out from Nigeria?

Jesse Osayande Vucinic Ehiagwina

@ Endy. That's what no one can forecast. 20 years from now? I doubt it. 50? Maybe depending on the growing generation if they feel as strong as some of the older ones do. If I had to say I'd say in 50 years times the agitation would not be as loud should the growing generation forget their history as its looking. Young people nowadays know little history and you know the mentality of competition instead of cooperation will make it hard. IMO, I don't think there's good in any of the region breaking off. The problems of this country isn't region. It has never been.

Emmanuel Oko Ewa Udu

You called it an Embassy @Endy. From the speeches Mr Kanu made, I didn't read him calling it an Embassy. And from the the inscription we have there, I don't see an Embassy written there. This is just an organization. No need for all these brawl, either Endy or his source of info is misleading us here.
