SECURITY: Asian Country IRAN Has Promised to Help Nigeria Fight Boko-Haram
Iran has announced today that it would assist Nigeria in the fight against the Islamist group, Boko Haram, as part of its contribution for global peace. The country’s Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, Amir Hossein Abdollohian, made the announcement while addressing the press on Saturday on the sideline of the ongoing 24th Assembly of the African Union (AU) Heads of State and Government in Addis Ababa. “Boko Haram in Nigeria and Al-Shabaab in the Horn of Africa are similar with Al-Qaeda and ISIS in parts of the Middle East using similar methods of operations to
cause havoc to the people of the two regions. Iran is therefore willing to use its experience in dealing with terror groups to assist in combatting these groups in Africa,“ Mr Amin said.

this is very good development..th
ese countries have the motivation that US is playing politics with Nigeria... this is the point they want to stress
I've said this before and will say it again. This Govt have been too slow in seeking for help. Russia, Iran, China, those countries would gladly help in the fight. Why?. They're opposing the hegemony of the US. The US have a hand in all these terror orgs. Fighting them would be super hard as they have funding, training, expertise from the one of the best countries namely USA, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, UK, France.
That's a cheering news, they're welcome, at least they're better than hypocritical U.S.
US doesnt help any nation US present in any country means destructions while they loot the country dry of its resources to live large in the USA.
@ Stanley. Exactly. That's what most people don't know or don't wana believe. Try and find out about "Africom". Its a programme lunched by Obama and this underlying goal is to have US military bases in African countries. Africa has resources everywhere and those military bases are there as a warning to those that would try to oppose or look for alternatives. They don't have one yet in Nigeria but there's a plan for it. There's a lot of them already in West Africa.
