President Jonathan has paid a courtesy visit to the mother of late former President, Umar Yar’adua. Jonathan is in Katsina State in continuation of his campaign tour of the Northern States of Nigeria. The president was accompanied on the visit by his Vice President and running mate, Namadi Sambo and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Adamu Mu’azu.
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), is from the state.
