PRESIDENTIAL candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in February elections, General Muhammadu Buhari, is scheduled to leave Nigeria any moment from now for medical surgery in the United States of America (USA), authoritative sources in the polity have said. Sources in the military, diplomatic and political circles confirmed on Saturday that the General has already completed a visa application to the USA. It was not confirmed which ailment the General is suffering from, but a source said that the
APC candidate was scheduled to leave the country on or before January 26.
Said a source: “I can confirm to you that arrangements are in top gear for General Buhari to visit a USA hospital for medical attention before the 14 February polls.
“He has been stressed from effects of the rigours of presidential campaigns across the country and he is definitely in need of medical attention. Age could also be a factor in this as the rigours and stress of campaigns has started getting at him.”

Misinformation at best. I even heard FFK say Buhari should run around the stadium to show he's healthy. That really shook me. This country is DEAD. Instead on focusing on their candidate and tell Nigerians why he should be voted in again, they're busy trying to discredit a man. Really that reason enough shows, A) they're afraid. Very afraid. B) they have nothing to sell their candidate on, C) its both A and B.
@ Endy. There's no such thing as too old for this kinda job. Even for the hale and hearty campaigns are stressful. I've seen GEJ look disinterested, bored and even tired during this campaign but no one has called him sick cos of his age. All I care for is what a man can do and what he can't do.

@ Endy. Therein lies a perception problem. People want the APC to present another candidate but none of them would give the party a fighting chance. Atiku?. We all know he has little political relevance and he would really discredit the APC. Automatic loss and the PDP would not worry one bit about him. Okorocha is from a part people consider minority when it comes to politics. No one trusts them cos they sell themselves to the highest bidder. The Yoruba's would not care for him and the Hausa's too. Kwankwaso is in the same boat. Few know him outside the Northern part of the country. Buhari is the only one that gives them a legit chance of wrestling power. And by able bodies men, you seem to want people that the PDP would easily defeat.

@jesse: but you will agree with me that BUHARI is been manipulated by the "OGAS" in APC. they know he is not even 60% qualified to run for presidency in a modern day Nigeria. they just want to use him to get what they want. if BUHARI wins, TINUBU and co wins. TINUBU and his MEN will be piloting the affairs of the country. not really BUHARI. Buhari lacks the technological prowes to rule a country like Nigeria. Now let me tell you. am not in support of Godluck Jonathan either. i wish a better PDP candidate can replace him. he has tried so far. We needed a trusted person from PDP to tackle all the challenges ravaging this our great nation. Jonathan is gentle, articulate but slow in action. he promise to end insurgency if re-elected, why can't him do it now. why wait until re-elected likewise the AGED gapped teeth aspirant BUHARI who also promise same. these two candidates are just not what Nigeria needs now. i'm a lot bit scared about what will happen on election day and the post-election days later this year. all we need is this trending hashtag

@ Endy. That's really a down statement I don't subscribe to. Technological prowess to rule?. What does that mean?. Does that mean you need technology to rule in this age?. NO. What you need is to know how to govern, appoint people that will do what you want, and smartly outline policies. And Buhari does strike me as someone Tinubu would not be able to push. How do I know this?. All ex-military people have that thing. Civilians wouldn't push them. Yes, he's in APC now but you also should note he needs a platform to achieve and APC gives him that. Tinubu would be in for a rude awakening should Buhari win ala how Putin pushed out the oligarchs in Russia. Its all about playing the power game.

The most important thing in the world is perception and that's what is working againt Buhari. Perceptional bias is very hard to conquer when the people don't want to.

@ Endy. Buhari can do little to change that. Its up to the people to try and find out then think for themselves. The media does a great job of painting a pic of him that people wana hear and correcting those misconceptions is almost impossible at this stage. I know the media has a vendetta against him so I don't trust them much. I do my own findings and then think. Critical thinking has been lost in this age. We let the internet think for us, sadly.
