Happy New Islamic Year (hijra 1436 ) to all My Dear Muslim Friends

The Islamic new year begins today, a time for Muslims to reflect on the past 12 months and remember the origins of their faith. “The Muslim New Year is really celebrated as a cultural holiday, not a particularly religious one,” The Hijri New Year, also known as Islamic New Year (Arabic: رأس السنة الهجرية Ras as-Sanah al-Hijriyah) is the day that marks the beginning of a new Islamic calendar year, and is the day on which the year count is incremented. The first day of the year is observed on the first day of Muharram, the first month in the Islamic calendar.
The first Islamic year beginning in 622 AD during which the emigration of Muhammad from Mecca to Medina, known as the Hijra.
While some Islamic organisations prefer determining the new month (and hence the new year) by local sightings of the moon, most Islamic institutions and countries, including Saudi Arabia, follow astronomical calculations to determine future dates of the Islamic calendar.
Happy new year, May Almighty Allah make you grow in Islam & make you to be steadfast in prayer.May this hijra 1436 bring you abundant blessing & make you witness more as a devoted Muslim.

alahumo amin.
