First in the news is SAD News: Funmi Olayinka has Died:
1. Ekiti State deputy governor, Mrs. Funmilayo Olayinka has died of cancer at the age of 52. She was a banker before she ventured into politics and became the deputy governor of Ekiti State since 2010.
2. Governor Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers State has received PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR AWARD at a colourful VANGUARD NEWSPAPERS Personality of the Year Award Ceremony, held yesterday night in Lagos.
3. Iconic author, Prof. Chinua Achebe, may be buried next month in his hometown, Ikenga Ogidi in Idemilii North Local Government Area of Anambra State. Achebe died after a brief illness at an undisclosed hospital in Boston, United States on March 21.
4. Today is World Health Day to prioritize on the need to take care of our health.
5. Celebrity Couple 2Face and Annie Idibia have arrived Nigeria after spending two weeks in Dubai for their wedding and honeymoon. It was reported that they arrived on Friday night.
6. Today Sunday April 7, The winner of Knorr Taste Quest Realty TV show will emerge as three finalists’ battle for the grand price.
7. An unconfirmed report says Nigeria musician, IYANYA will represent Nigeria in Big Brother Africa Season 8.
8. Popular Hollywood actress, Halle Berry is Pregnant. According to a Celebrity Website TMZ, Halle Berry and her fiancé Oliver Martinez is expecting their first child together. The 46 yr-old actress had a child in her previous relationship.
9. Hollywood actor, Wesley Snipes has been released from prison after being detained for tax related offence – tax evation. WESLEY SNIPES is famous for his romantic film “Disappearing Act” and action movie “BLADE”.
10. Popular American R & B singer, Ray J has released a new song entitled “ I hit it first”. The lyrics of the song suggest that RAY J dedicated the song to his ex-girlfriend Kim Kadarsham who is now pregnant for rapper KANYE WEST. Ray J bragged that he first had SEX with Kim Kardasham before Kanye West did.
