Peter says flying private is no longer a luxury, it's now a necessity considering how often they need to travel for concerts. P-Square and their brother/manager, Jude Okoye, are currently in Uganda where they will perform a show tonight.
The Nigerian brothers who make up P-Square arrived Uganda yesterday ahead of today’s concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval as Christmas gets nearer.
The show will go for sh25, 000 for ordinary tickets and sh60, 000 for VIP tickets. The brothers this year have made some major collaborations with international artists like Akon for their hit, Chop my Money and Rick Ross for Beautiful (Onyinye). They also have the hit, Alingo.
Their success this year however was tainted by their tragic loss of their mother who died on July 11th 2012.
Asked how they came to have a collaboration with Akon and later on be signed with his label, Konvict, the P Square brothers said they were close friends with the artist. “We have known Akon for a long time. He has always been a friend and support of P-Square. It was just a matter of time until the deal materialised,” they said. “As you already know, we are signed to Akon’s Konvict Music so it was easy for him to link us to Rick Ross, one of the best hip hop artistes of the moment. Rick Ross is one cool guy! Working with him was fun and easy,” they explained of their collaboration with Rick Ross.
P-Square is one of the most pronounced group in Nigeria and Africa as a whole with more than 50 songs to their name. The duo came into limelight when they did their first hit song.
