B.O.B's STORY: Pursue Your DREAMS, Let Nothing Stop YOU.

Even your FATHER, MOTHER or the DEVIL cannot STOP You::
Below is the Story of an American Musician named B.O.B.

His preacher FATHER was against his Dreams but despite that he still succeeded.
B.O.B is the musician that featured BRUNO MARS in the popular track entitled "Nothing on You"

B.O.B's Biography:

Bobby Ray Simmons, Jr. (born November 15, 1988), better known by his stage name B.o.B, is an American hip hop recording artist, singer-songwriter and record producer from Decatur, Georgia. His father is a pastor. He is currently signed under the labels of Grand Hustle Records, Rebel Rock Entertainment, and Atlantic Records. After his debut single "Nothin' on You" reached number one in both the United States and the United Kingdom, B.o.B rose to fame.

He released his second single, "Airplanes", which also peaked at number one in the United Kingdom and at number two in the US. His third single, "Magic", became B.o.B's third consecutive top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

B.o.B was named the ninth Hottest MC in the Game of 2010 by MTV. On April 27, 2010 his debut album, B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray was released, reaching number one on the US charts and eventually being certified Gold by the RIAA..

AND NOW, an extract from MTV BASE interview,
B.O.B revealed how his father hated him when he was starting music.

In his words:
"My dad will tell you that he wasn't too fond of me when I first started rapping," the Atlanta native explained. "My dad was a preacher. When your dad is a preacher ... the things you wanna say as an MC, they don't really go hand in hand.

"I remember I was walking through the house with a rap book, a do-rag on and some headphones or something, and my dad stopped me," he said, recalling one pivotal moment. "He was like, 'Why are you trying to be something that you're not?' "

As you can imagine, young Bobby Ray didn't react well to his dad's comment. "I was appalled," he admitted. "I was like, 'What do you mean, something I'm not?' I'm an MC, I' m a lyricist, I'm a rapper — I love this. If someone tells me I [can't] do something, I'm going in the exact opposite direction."

Although the journey was difficult without having his dad in his corner, B.o.B said that it pushed him to work even harder. "I think if I would've went through life and there would've been nobody hating on me, and there would've been nobody writing 'you're wack' in my rap book, if I didn't get booed at the talent show, I don't think I'd be here. I wouldn't have wanted it badly enough."

THE END.
