SAD NEWS: Popular Nigerian Radio Presenter CHAZ B Is Dead !
A prominent Nigerian radio broadcaster, Charles
Bruce Chukwuma, also known as "Chaz B" is dead. Mr. Chukwuma
was a popular presenter of a radio show "Sharing Life Issues"
which aired on Inspiration FM Radio before moving Rhythm FM. Mr. Chukwuma
abruptly signed off on air during his last presentation telling listeners his
colleague will finish the show. Friends and family said he died last week, of
complications arising from kidney failure.
CHILD BIRTH: Popular Nigerian Comediene, Helen Paul (Tatafo) Delivers A Baby Boy
Comediene, Helen Paul has just welcomed a bouncing baby boy. The
comedienne shared the good news of the birth of her son via her twitter
account some moments ago, saying, “The Lord has done it again. I just
gave birth to a bouncing baby boy,” Helen wrote. Helen and husband, Femi
Bamisile who got married in 2010 already have a 3 year old son before
the arrival of the latest one.
CRIME NEWS: Federal Government of Nigeria Bans Use Of Phones In Prisons Nationwide ---
The Federal Government has banned the use of mobile phones in all the prison formations by the inmates and prison officials. It also directed the Nigerian Prison Service authorities to recover all handsets from inmates within 30 days. Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, who handed down the order on Saturday
in Abuja, during an interactive meeting with the senior officers of the
Prison Service, decried indecent dressing by the inmates.
He
stated that no inmate should be allowed to wear their choice of clothes
or shoes, as is the practice presently, “no matter highly placed they
may be.”
