“Stones and other solid objects can form in a human body in different cases,” he said. “Stones can form in a gall bladder, urinary bladder and other several parts of urinary tracks.”

The medical expert explained that why VVF patients were prone to giving birth to stones or any solid object was because they drink less water to reduce urine leakage.

<<< Veteran Sports Broadcaster Walter Oyatogun Is Dead ! >>>>

As more people pay deceased veteran sports broadcaster, Walter Oyatogun, tributes, facts have emerged on the circumstances that heralded his death on Friday, February 14, 2014.

The broadcaster who was also an award-winning sportsman died after suffering stroke for the third time within about three years.

He was said to be over 75 years of age.

One of the daughters of the deceased, Moyo Oyatogun, who is also a broadcaster with Star FM, Lagos, told our correspondent in a telephone interview on Monday that he was in a coma for four days before he passed on.

Asked what Oyatogun’s last moments were, she said, “We can’t really talk much about his last moments because he had been in a coma since Monday. He was in the same state till Friday when he eventually died.”

Moyo, who noted that Oyatogun gave up the ghost at a specialist hospital in Gbagada, Lagos, said the family hopes that the funeral programme would be completed in the next two weeks because they do not want the body to remain too long in the morgue.

Moyo noted that apart from the ordeals her father suffered as a stroke victim, he was not very happy at the point of his death.

“He was not happy about the fact that he put in 43 years of service in the development of sports in the country but was not duly recognised. He was in the vanguard of the development of volleyball and basketball. At the time of his challenges, he felt he was really forgotten.

“He fought hard to ensure that the National Stadium in Lagos was thrown open to people who wanted to train. He believed that a stadium should not be under lock and key once a major event is not happening there. He said the stadium should not just be for people having social events.”

While calling for a posthumous honour for her dad, Moyo, whose sister, Mofe Oyatogun, is also a broadcaster, said the family was taking the loss as an act of God.

According to her, it is painful that despite all the efforts made and money spent on the ailment, Oyatogun did not survive it.

“He deserved to have led a fulfilled life. But unfortunately in our country we don’t give honour to whom it is due,” she added.

Moyo is, however, consoled that many people from different walks of life have been visiting the family to sympathise with them and extol his virtues. Among such, she noted, are representatives of the Teslim Balogun Stadium management; sports commentator with NTA, Paul Ogazi; and fans of Star FM programmes.

A statement issued by the Oyatogun family also indicates that Sir Wally, as the veteran broadcaster was fondly called, became famous in the 1980s, on the NTA.

“He had a unique signoff of his name on his reports. His deep and well-rounded voice and impeccable enunciation warmed many hearts. He was indeed one of Nigeria’s greatests,” the statement adds.

In one of his profiles online, Oyatogun was described as belonging to the “very enterprising second generation of Nigerian sports broadcasters” that raised the standard of broadcasting to the international level.

The source adds that he was born in Ghana and fired by the pan Africanism extolled by the late President Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana. He took to sports early in life and acquired professional skill as a Physical Education graduate in France, after which he taught in various schools in Lagos.

He was also an amateur heavyweight boxer and one of the pioneers of keep-fit exercise in Lagos. Inevitably, Oyatogun found his way into the NTA and his golden voice and enthusiasm thrilled television viewers for many years. With professionals of like minds, he elevated television sports broadcast to the highest level in Africa,” the source adds.

Meanwhile, stakeholders in sports and sports broadcasters on Monday expressed condolences over Oyatogun’s death.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Ogazi described the departed broadcaster as a source of inspiration to the sporting world.

Noting that his impact on the sector was real, he explained, “Although his death came as a shock, he was a source of inspiration to us when we were just coming up in the profession. He was a thorough man and that was what made him stand out the more.”

Also, a former presenter of tennis events on NTA and ex-president, Nigeria Tennis Federation, Chuka Momah, said Oyatogun was a dedicated journalist. According to him, the deceased would be missed for the grandeur he demonstrated during sports commentaries on television.

“He was a fine gentleman. He was my friend and a committed journalist. He had a flair for sports journalism and I’m glad to say I worked alongside him and other colleagues like the late Yinka Craig and Fabio Olanipekun,’’ he said.

<<< Snake Pastor Dies After His Snake Bit Him In Church >>>>>>

Jamie Coots, a Pentecostal church pastor and star of National Geographic’s reality show “Snake Salvation,” died Saturday night in his Kentucky home after being bitten on his right hand by one of his snakes.

The Middlesboro Police Department told WBIR that Coots was found dead in his home around 10 p.m. Saturday night after leaving his Middlesboro, K.Y., church, the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Jesus' Name, where he suffered a bite from a venomous snake during an evening church service.

Multiple sources report that when an ambulance crew and firefighters showed up at the pastor’s residence, Coots refused to be taken to the hospital for treatment of the snake bite. Coots was a member of a Pentecostal church whose followers practice snake handling and believe in faith healing.

During an episode of “Snake Salvation,” Coots, who comes from a long line of snake handlers, said that he believed a passage in the Bible suggests that church members cannot be harmed by venomous snakebites as long as they were anointed by God, according to CNN. The passage comes from the book of Mark, chapter 16.

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover,” the passage reads.

In 2013, National Geographic approached Coots and another Pentecostal pastor, Andrew Hamblin of the Tabernacle Church of God in LaFollette, Tenn., to start filming a reality series featuring modern snake handlers. Producers wrapped up filming last year, and didn’t intend to film a second season, according to TMZ.

“In the hills of Appalachia, Pentecostal pastors Jamie Coots and Andrew Hamblin struggle to keep an over-100-year-old tradition alive: the practice of handling deadly snakes in church,” a description of the show states. “Jamie and Andrew believe in a Bible passage that suggests a poisonous snakebite will not harm them as long as they are anointed by God’s power. If they don’t practice the ritual of snake handling, they believe they are destined for hell.”

Coots and Hamblin spent time searching the mountains for deadly snakes to add to their churches’ snake collections. But the practice has, on several occasions, landed the pastors in hot water with the law.

In 2008 Coots was arrested for keeping 74 snakes in his home. Nine other people were arrested as part of an undercover sting operation to seize venomous snakes in Kentucky. Last year, the pastor was given one year of probation for crossing into Tennessee with venomous snakes. Snake handling is illegal in most states, including Kentucky.

Saturday’s incident wasn’t the first time Coots has been bitten by one of the snakes he has handled. According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, Coots nearly died in the early 1990s after suffering a bite from a large rattlesnake on his left arm. Then, in 1998, another rattlesnake bit Coots on his middle finger.

“I lost this finger to a serpent bite,” Coots would later say during filming of “Snake Salvation.” “The finger rotted, there was a quarter inch of bone exposed. The finger broke off.”

As was the case in Saturday’s snake-bite incident, Coots refused to be treated for previous bites as well.

“I never sought medical attention, because when I first started in church I said if I ever went to a hospital or a doctor for a snake bite I would quit church,” he told National Geographic during filming in 2013.

''We're just normal people living day to day like everybody else, most of us living hand to mouth, but what we believe, we believe, and we practice it,” Coots said in 1998, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.

…Popular Nigerian Singer TIWA SAVAGE Arrested For Insulting a Policeman….

Mavin Records artiste, Tiwa Savage, has been arrested by the police for allegedly humiliating a policeman who apprehended her for violating some provisions of the Lagos State Road Traffic Law.
Savage, often referred to as Mavin First Lady, was said to have argued with the policeman, who flagged her down for flouting traffic rules in front of Eko Hotels and Suites Victoria Island.
Savage, who was recently signed a brand ambassador deal with Forte Oil, allegedly came down from the vehicle she was driving in and confronted the policeman.
During the ensuing argument with the cop, Savage, who was said to have been infuriated by the development, allegedly removed the cap of the policeman.
The first African female Pepsi ambassador, was reportedly whisked away to the Victoria Island Police Division for humiliating and assaulting the policeman.
A policeman at the station, who spoke to our correspondent on the condition of anonymity, said Savage was released shortly after.
He said, “Tiwa Savage refused to stop at a traffic light around Adetokunbo Ademola Street near Eko Hotel and Suites. When we attempted to accost her, she refused to park her car as instructed by the policemen.
“Since there was a traffic snarl at the time, a policeman followed her car and insisted that she must stop. After a while, she stopped and started raining abuses on all of us so, we took her to the station.
“On getting to the station, a senior officer advised her to apologise because she was wrong and there were even eyewitnesses at the scene who could testify against her if the matter was taken to court. She apologised and was released immediately.”
