CHURCH NEWS: Celestial Church Wins Deeper Life in Court over Land Dispute in Lagos

On January 17, 2014, a Lagos High Court declared Celestial Church of Christ the rightful owner of land situated at Mulero, Agege, Lagos.and awarded Deeper Life Church N5 Million damages for trespassing and claiming the ownership of the parcel of land. Deeper Life Church headed by Pastor Kumuyi was not satisfied with the High Court ruling, decided to drag Celestial Church to Court of Appeal. Unfortunately, luck was not on Deeper Life Church side as the
Appeal Court struck out it's claims and maintained that the land belongs to Celestial Church after pointing out that the Celestial Church of Christ obtained its title of the land in 1973 as against that of Deeper Life Church which was obtained 1998.
