A bill to increase the powers and jurisdiction of "Sharia Law" in Nigeria has passed second reading by the Nigeria's House of Assembly. It was learnt that House Speaker, Yakubu Dogara advised lawmaker, Abdullahi Salame (the lawmaker representing Gwadabawa/Illela federal constituency of Sokoto state) to sponsor the bill.The bill scaled through without a debate.
