CRIME NEWS: EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Lamorde Has Been Sacked !

Embattled EFCC chairman, Ibrahim Lamorde has been sacked and Ibrahim Magu installed as the new chairman of the anti-graft agency. Larmode had been the EFCC boss since 2011 before he was ousted from office today due to bribery related scandals.

CRIME NEWS: SHAME! CCT Chairman, Danladi Umar involved in Bribery Scandal

The Code of Conduct Tribunal Chairman, Mr. Danladi Umar has been sued for money laundering and bribery. Edeson Online News gathered that a group, Registered Trustees of Mission for Peace and Development Initiative dragged Umar to Federal High Court in Abuja seeking information on his alleged involvement in bribery.

BUSINESS/CRIME NEWS: CBN Fines SKYE BANK N4 Billion over TSA

Central Bank of Nigeria has ordered SKYE BANK to pay N4 Billion fine for concealing funds belong to Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs). We learnt the fine represents 10% of the concealed funds belonging to Federal Government MDAs and the amount would be debited from Skye Bank’s current account with CBN.

BREAKING NEWS: MTN CEO Resigns Over NCC Fine

We have been informed that MTN Group President and Chief Executive Officer, Sifiso Dabengwa, just resigned today over the N1.04tn fine imposed on MTN Nigeria by NCC. A new Executive chairman, Phuthuma Nhleko has been appointed to act temporarily for period of 6 months while the company identifies a successor for Dabengwa.
