WORLD NEWS: Europe Bans Importation Of Palm Oil, Beans, Etc From Nigeria
NIGERIA’S
economy, which is going through a turbulent period from reduction in oil
income, is set to further unravel. Why? The European Union has just
suspended some agricultural food exports from Nigeria. The food items
banned from Europe till June 2016 are beans, sesame seeds, melon seeds,
dried fish and meat, peanut chips and palm oil. This is a setback for a
nation that desperately needs to expand its export basket to boost
domestic agricultural activities and create jobs.

Governor Nasir
El Rufai of Kaduna State, Wednesday, appointed a Special Assistant on
Persons with Disability. This seems to be in reaction to the threat by
beggars in the state to bring down his government. A statement
signed by Samuel Aruwan, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the
governor, disclosed that El-Rufai has appointed Aliyu Muhammed Salisu
as his Special Assistant on Persons with Disability. Salisu,
who hails from Sabon Gari, Zaria, holds a diploma in

Following the
death of the UNIBEN student, Rita, the school has banned students from
wearing headsets and earpieces outside of their rooms. They say this is a
security measure to ensure that students are alert at all times. This

accidentally while using earphone.
