We’ve just been informed that all is not well with African Independent Television. The Television station known mostly for it’s controversial political sponsored programmes could be facing an attack by people from the underworld. According report which was made available to Edeson Online News Desk, Fire broke out this morning in the studio area at the Africa Independent Television, AIT, in Alagbado, Lagos. The cause of fire is not yet known but it has been put out by the fire service and members of staff of the TV station. Damage to the property is currently being assessed.
No casualties or injuries recorded.
The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation (APCPCO) has made a formal complaint against Mrs. Patience Jonathan, wife of Nigeria’s president, who during a rally in Calabar, Cross River State last week, called on PDP supporters to “stone” anyone who came to the state chanting change. News Agency of Nigeria is reporting that after Bash Ali and four other men were arrested at a bank premises last month in Abuja for trespassing and causing obstruction in public way, they were remanded in prison till their bail conditions would be met, but now that it has been met and Bash is now free to go, he has refused to leave the prison. A Wuse Zone 6 Senior Magistrates’ Court, Abuja on Wednesday fixed April 2 for hearing in the criminal case brought against Nigerian boxer, Bash Ali, and four other accused persons. Meanwhile Bash Ali has refused to leave jail despite meeting bail conditions.

A Benue State commissioner, Aondawase Chia, who predicted the death of the Flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress, Gen. Mohammed Buhari is dead. Aondowase, until his death on Wednsday was the Commissioner for Rural Development and Cooperatives in Benue State. Chia, according to reports slumped on Wednesday and later died in the hospital. His death is coming just few days after he predicted the death of the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari.
An Igando Customary Court in Lagos on Friday dissolved a 20-year-old marriage between Olayiwola Ajayi and his wife, Isiwa, over battery by wife. The President of the court, Mr Rasak Adeyeri, held that both parties were no longer husband and wife and they were free to go their separate ways. Ajayi, , had alleged that his wife always threatened his life through beating, among other things. “My wife is fond of beating me, she beats me on any slight provocation, I am tired of being brutalised. “A day cannot pass without her laying her hands on me, I am afraid she may kill me one day if I still continue in the marriage”,
