Federal High Court, Abuja. stops Jimi Agbaje from parading himself as PDP Candidate for Lagos Gubernatorial election . Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Wednesday, ordered the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) and the Independent National Electoral Commission
(INEC) to maintain the status quo on the contentious gubernatorial
primaries held in Lagos over a week ago, in which Mr Jimi Agabaje
emerged the party’s candidate for the 2015 governorship poll. The court has, however, fixed December 23 for the INEC and PDP to appear
before it and, as such, forbade Agbaje, the acclaimed winner, to stop
parading himself as the party’s candidate until the suit before it was
heard.

CRIME NEWS: 54 more soldiers sentenced to death by firing squad for mutiny in Nigeria
54 soldiers including two Corporals, nine Lance Corporals
and 49 Private soldiers attached to the 7 Division Nigerian Army in
Maiduguri Borno state have been sentenced to death by firing squad for
mutiny by a court marshal that sat in Abuja today Wednesday December
17th. The soldiers were convicted on a a two-count charge of criminal
conspiracy to commit mutiny. According to the charge sheet, the
soldiers conspired to commit mutiny against their superior at the 7
Division on August 4 at the Mulai Primary School camp,
