The use of motorcycles as commercial means of transport in Nigeria,
popularly known as ‘Okada’ or ‘Achaba’ may soon be banned throughout the
country. The proposal for the ban was made by the National
Council on Transport after its annual conference in Enugu State and
endorsed by the Minister of Transport, Sen. Idris Umar. A
statement from the Federal Ministry of Transport on Saturday evening
stated that the ban of commercial motorcycle was one of the measures
proposed towards adequate provision of safety and secure transportation
in Nigeria.

List of Accredited 2015 JAMB Registration Centers (Updated)
Here we are building a list of 2015 JAMB UTME Registration Centers that have been officially accredited by the exam body. The 2015 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination registration will not be done in Cyber Cafes like we are used to. ICT/CBT centers will be used for application and registration. From all indications, mainly big and credible institutions will be used as registration centers. At the time of writing this post, ICT and CBT centers of Universities have been accredited as official JAMB registration
JAMB Warns Candidates to Stop Registering for UMTE in Cyber-Cafes
THE Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), on Thursday, warned
prospective candidates in the forthcoming Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination (UTME) , to stop registering at cyber-cafes,
saying majority of the operators are fraudulent. It, therefore,
announced that it has approved computer-based centres in all the 36
states of Nigeria for registration of 2015 UTME. The administrative
officer in charge of the board, then warned the operators of the
cyber-cafes , who had made fraud their daily routine to, henceforth,
desist from such act or face the music.

Technology News: Microsoft drops Nokia name from Smartphones-
Washington - Microsoft said Friday it was dropping the Nokia name from
its Lumia smartphones, rebranding following the acquisition earlier this
year of the Finnish group's handset division. The rebranding is "a
natural progression as all devices that once came from Nokia now come
from Microsoft," said Tuula Rytila, senior vice president of marketing
for phones at Microsoft. "Lumia is now part of a compelling family
of Microsoft products like Xbox, Windows and Surface along with a range
of services such as Skype, Office and Bing."
