Tragedy struck the family of late goal-king, Rashidi Yekini, when
Rashid’s immediate younger sister, Rofiat Yekini, died in a motor
accident along Okuku-Osogbo road. The auto crash occurred last Wednesday. Complete Sports reports that
the mother of three, alongside two others died instantly after their 18
passengers’ vehicle collided with a lorry.
Seven people were
killed on Sunday when Boko Haram militants launched an assault in
northern Cameroon, a Cameroonian security source said.
"Boko Haram killed a (Cameroonian) soldier. Our soldiers killed six of their guys" and "captured" two others near the Nigerian border, the source told AFP on Monday, requesting anonymity.
A local Cameroonian NGO confirmed the assault and said there were "victims" without specifying the number.

maintain the 325th position in the world.
As the world marks the 14th International Sex Worker's
Rights Day today, Nigerian sex workers have joined their counterparts in
some countries to demand for legal recognition of their trade as a job.

the time had come for the Nigerian government to grant them their due
recognition and further recognise that as human beings trying to keep
