A teenage girl chopped her father's head clean off with a bush knife after he Molested her in their home in the highlands of Papua New Guinea.
Now residents of the village have formed a protective ring around the 18-year-old, refusing to hand her over to the police because they agreed her 'evil' father deserved to die.
A local church leader, Pastor Lucas Kumi from the village of Rang in the Western Highlands, said theentire community would refuse to allow the girl to be subjected to any official investigation.
'The people and leaders in our area went and saw the headless body of the father after the girl reported the incident to them and explained why she had killed her father,' said Pastor Kumi.
He told the Post Courier newspaper that the father, in his mid-40s, raped his daughter when they were alone in their house after the mother and two other children from the family went to visit relatives for the night. The community have also agreed not to conduct any formal burial service for the father.'
Crimes of molestation, murder, suspected witch killings and prostitution are rife throughout Papua New Guinea and as a desperate attempt to stop the lawlessness the government recently re-introduced the death penalty for serious offences.
But at the weekend the Post Courier reported the results of an investigation into child prostitution, a report, it said, that will 'make you cringe.'
Children aged between 13 and 16, said the paper, were selling sex in the nightclubs of the capital, Port Moresby, five premises being reported to be engaged in the under-age prostitution trade.
Three non-government organisations have produced a report based on interviews with no less than 175 child sex workers.
'It's true - our girls, and especial school girls, are being bought and sold for sex,' said one of the investigators.

Nollywood actress, Clarion Chukwura in a recent interview shares her acting and growing up experiences.
Below is what she told the journalist.
“ I lost my father when I was 11 years and one week old; it was only my mother that I can say reacted when I started acting. But she was never against my acting.
I actually began acting in the university community. My mother spoke with Bayo Oduleye (then a lecturer at the University of Ibadan.)

She also spoke with Yomi Shohunde. My mother, being an educated woman, did not have problem when I began acting, though she thought I would study law.
The fact that I became a star early did not let me have the problem my pals were having. I became a star at 15. When I got pregnant, there was a crack between me and my mother – which any mother would react to.
At that time, I was 17, and an undergraduate. She felt it was her fault, having lost her husband, she had the responsibility to look after us so that she would not lose any of us.
I started acting (stage and television) in 1979, when I was 15 years, and I joined the Nigerian film industry in 1982 with Ola Balogun’s Money Power. But if you want to talk about home video, I joined the home video industry in 1994. I was the lead female character in the first attempt at home video production in Nigeria by Jimi Odumosu, Fiery Force (1986)”

Baby praise was kidnapped 2 years ago from the children's department of winners chapel. Her parents came back to pick her after the church service, but met her twin alone. It was indeed a war between the parents and the church authorities. Today praise is back.

She was kidnapped on Sunday, April 17th, 2011 and was sold to a woman in Kano. The kidnapper confessed that he was struck with a strange disease after kidnapping praise and later went blind.

When they could not cope any more with the sickness, his wife advised him to confess and the child was returned to the church. Her parents brought her to church on Sunday for thanksgiving. Indeed we serve a living God.
What a miracle !
