…Student Arrested For Impersonating Uduaghan On Facebook…

DIRECTOR of the State Security Service (SSS) in Delta State, Mrs. Florence Ikanone, paraded a 27-year-old graduate of Accountancy from Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, Mr. Philip Urieh, for allegedly impersonating Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan on the social networking site, facebook.

She said the suspect, a native of Uzere in Isoko South Local Government Area of the state, was recently arrested by operatives of the state command following painstaking surveillance that was mounted on him as a result of series of reports received on the subject.

According to the Director, the suspect through the facebook platform allegedly defrauded unsuspecting persons to the tune of over N5 million by opening a facebook account with the name and picture of Governor Uduaghan which he uses to deceive his clients, promising them juicy contracts and government appointments.

“The suspect’s modus operandi is that he receives messages and responds to them as if he were the executive governor. He defrauded one Felix from Agbor through the facebook account to the tune N1.2 million on the promise of making him to sponsor beauty pageant.

“In addition, he paid N600,000 for billboards, praising the governor; N480,000 to be given to Chief of Staff; N540,000 for repairs of a Kia salon car belonging to subject; and he was equally instructed to pay N500,000 to be given to the Speaker of the State House of Assembly to ease his screening as a commissionership candidate,” said the SSS boss.

…Endy Please Come to My Rescue…

“ I am Madly in Love With a Cult Member”

Goodday Mr. Endy Edeson, I hope you had a nice time on your birthday last week Saturday. I didn’t know that you are from Port-Harcourt. I thought you are a Yoruba man not until that day you wrote it on your birthday message.
Mr. Edeson, I know you always publish people’s relationship issues on your page, please kindly help publish mine. I’m confused, I’m madly in love with a cultist. I want your followers and fans to advice me on what to do.
I'm a lady in my mid -twenties, who happened to have met this very good guy. He knows everything about me and I always ask him to share things with me also.

We talk about the future a lot with the hope that we get married someday and we have been going strong.

Last week during one of our one to many conversations, he told me a secret that he used to be a cultist, however stopped.

But recently I found that he is still a cultist and can't denounce or he will die but just stopped being active.

I love him but he doesn't even know the implication of still being one. He says he can't say some things or else or even leave like that... I'm really confused at this point.

I want to get married and have a wonderful life but with a Cultist,,, errm I dont think so.

Has anyone particularly females ever been in this situation? Please, what did you do?
GUYS, PLEASE ADVICE THIS LADY. Thanks

Nigeria's Population To Surpass America By 2050 -

Nigeria's population is expected to surpass that of the US by 2050, according to new UN projections that predict the west African country could be the world's third most populous by the end of this century.

The UN report World population prospects: the 2012 revision, published on Thursday, predicts the world's population, now at 7.2 billion, will reach 8.1 billion in 2025. By mid-century, the world's population is expected to top 9.5 billion, reaching nearly 11 billion by 2100.

More than half of the growth predicted between now and 2050 is expected in Africa, where the number of people is set to more than double, from 1.1 billion to 2.4 billion. Africa's population will continue to rise even if there is a future drop in the average number of children each woman has, says the report, which predicts the number of people living on the continent could reach 4.2 billion (or more than 35% of total global population) by 2100.

…Anambra To Use Bill Gates Money To Build 10 Hospitals…

Anambra State government said that it would use the money it won from being the best state in the coverage of immunization programme in the South-East to build 10 maternities in the rural parts of the state.

Governor Peter Obi, who made the disclosure during the flag-off of the National Obstetric Fistula Repair Programme at the Anambra State University Teaching Hospital, Awka, said the state had matched the $US1 million monetary award with N120 million for the project.

The governor also flagged-off the fumigation exercise against mosquitoes in the state, explaining that the exercise was part of the state government’s programme towards elimination of malaria. He called on the people of the state to corporate with those carrying out the fumigation exercise since it was for their own good. …Nigeria Now Has 7 Hospitals For Kidney Transplant…

“Very Soon, Herbal Medicine Will Soon Be Introduced In Our Medical Schools”

70 hospitals in Nigeria have been equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and personnel to undertake kidney transplant, the local VANGUARD newspaper quoted the Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, as saying Thursday in Abuja, the Nigerian capital city.

It also quoted the minister, who was speaking at the 2013 Ministerial Platform, as also saying that the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital had the capacity to undertake open heart surgery.

The minister said: “With this achievements and improvement in the health sector, there is no need for anyone to leave Nigeria to other countries for medical treatment, apart from cases where we do not have expertise in Nigeria because no country in the world can provide all the health needs of its people”.

He noted that in an effort to ensure that Nigerians imbibed healthy lifestyle, his ministry was intensifying efforts and collaborating with members of the National Assembly to ensure that the tobacco bill became law.

This, according to him, will moderate the smoking habit of the people and prevent them from contracting deadly diseases, such as cancer, lungs diseases and many others.

“In the same vein, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, is also reviewing its laws to provide stiffer penalty for fake drug manufacturers and importers,” he stressed.

The minister also revealed that, “very soon, herbal medicine will soon be introduced in our medical schools. This is because before you treat any disease, you must have the ability to diagnose it and administer the needed treatment. Herbal medicine practitioners will be given the needed training to perform optimally. ”

He charged Nigerians to embrace the various health insurance programmes introduced by the National Health Insurance Scheme, NHIS, stressing that for Nigerians to have access to affordable, effective and efficient healthcare services, health insurance was the way to go.

Also speaking at the platform, the Minister of State for Health, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, said that between 2009 to 2012, Nigeria had been able to reduce maternal mortality rate by 47 per cent.

He assured that with the current efforts of the President Jonathan-led government, polio would soon be a thing of the past in the country.

“Since the beginning of this year, we have had only 25 polio cases in the country which are mainly from the states like Borno and Yobe which are bedeviled with security challenges,” he noted.

Pate reiterated that the effort of the federal government had led to the successes recorded in the total eradication of guinea worm diseases, for which the World Health Organisation (WHO) will give Nigeria guinea worm free certification this month.

“Meningitis outbreak has also become a thing of the past in this country,” he stressed.
GOOD DEVELOPMENT.

…Lagos Schools Where Students Sit On The Floor & Under Trees …

Many pupils of Saviour’s Primary School, Igbeleyi-Alakuko, a suburb of Lagos, were on Thursday seen seated on the floor as their teachers taught them during school hours.

A fight had broken out between two of the pupils on Tuesday, which left one of them with an injured lip that had to be sutured at a nearby hospital.

The fight allegedly resulted from the insufficient furniture in the school, which the affected pupils struggled to use.

Many pupils in Primary four, Primary five and Primary six in the school were seen sitting on the floor due to insufficient furniture in their classrooms.

The problem was more pronounced in the classrooms of Primary six pupils, where in the three arms with over 100 pupils, only 17 chairs and desks were seen.

Some teachers at the school, who did not want their names published for fear of victimisation by the authorities, said that the situation had been the same for some time, despite repeated appeals made to the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) for help.

Kemi Lawal, the Chairman, School Based Management Committee (SBMC) of the school, said that the situation was very bad as many pupils in the school sat on the floor to receive lessons.

She said that SBMC had also appealed to parents to contribute money, so that the problem could be addressed, but that this had yielded no positive result.

“We levied all parents last term – during a parents’ forum – that they pay N200 each to assist us construct chairs and desks; but they are not responding,” she said. “We are pleading with SUBEB and the state government to provide furniture in the school.”

When contacted, Gbolahan Daodu, the Executive Chairman, SUBEB, said that government was aware of the problem, and that effort was being intensified to address it. “We are taking care of various furniture requests in our schools,” she said.

“Nigerian Politicians Are More Interested In Women”

“Nigerian Politicians Are More Interested In Women”

“All They Care About is to Sleep with Different Women”
--Prof. Pat Utomi Lambasts-

Nigeria’s Professor of Political Economy and Management, Professor Pat Utomi, has slammed the country’s politicians for undermining the country’s democracy, saying they prefer women than they genuinely desire the development of the nation.

According to Prof. Utomi, the present crop of politicians in the country are more interested in sleeping with women than they are concerned about the country’s growth and progress when compared with the likes of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

Utomi said this while speaking as a guest lecturer at a special parliamentary session held by the Lagos State House of Assembly in commemoration of the second anniversary of the Seventh Assembly and 20 years of the annulment of the June 12, 1993 presidential election won by the late Chief Moshood Abiola.

According to the former presidential candidate on the platform of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, leaders like the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo was able to make positive changes in the country because they surrounded themselves with experts and people who could think.

He said this was different these days as political office holders now only appoint those who could help them get girls and women when the need arises, adding that this was part of the challenges facing the country.

He also castigated political office holders for acting with impunity in the country forgetting that power is transient.

“In some parts of the world, I get a ticket for a train ride and surprisingly, the next person standing close to you to take same train is the Speaker of a parliament. But here, you see the Speaker of a parliament moving with four or five security officers,” he lamented.

He appealed to political leaders to re-trace their steps.

Also in his lecture, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Lagos State University, Professor Abubakar Momoh, blamed politicians for heating up the polity through what he described as political rhetoric.

He called Nigeria a crippled giant and lamented that the country was not thinking beyond the crude oil it exports.

According to him, if Nigeria stops exporting crude oil, it will become poorer than Togo which earns its revenue from various export policies.

“We are suffering the illusion of oil. We have not yet arrived,” he lamented further quoting some ministers in the President Goodluck Jonathan cabinet as saying that the country’s Vision 20-20 of becoming a leading global economy is no longer realistic.

He also lamented the level of poverty giving the politicians the opportunity to continue to deceive people with promises that are not realisable.

He slammed political leaders for deliberately destroying the country’s educational sector, challenging them to send their children to public schools if they felt he was telling lies.

As a result of this, he said, tertiary institutions in the country now produce the kinds of graduates which the market requires and not ones that could easily better the society.

The scholar also described the banking sector of the country as a challenged institution, saying their practices and policies have not helped businesses.

According to him, these banks now concentrate on giving short term loans with very high interest rates to the extent that most manufacturing houses have now been converted into churches.

“Politicians are the ones that have destroyed our schools,” he declared, adding that former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Shehu Musa Yar’Adua sent their children to public schools when they led the country in the 1970s.

He noted that a global statistics had put the number of Nigeria’s unemployed at 73 million while a total of 10.5 million are out of school. He noted that the Universal Basic Education Programme had become a drain pipe riddled with corruption.

Prof. Momoh lamented that at this stage of the country’s existence, the government cannot provide potable water or meet the little demands of the poor masses.

While eulogising former Governor Lateef Jakande for his development of Lagos State during his tenure, he said it was shameful that in Lagos the water being provided for the residents of the state was a World Bank project, adding that it had not even reached the people.

He said this was the reason for the proliferation of boreholes which is not also safe. “Close to 35 percent of ailments in Nigeria are water borne,” he said while asking the government to cut the cost of governance, reform the Nigerian Police and act on the NEITI report on the crude oil management.

…Both indoor and Outdoor Smoking to be banned….

The Federal Government, on Thursday, said smoking would soon be banned in the country as soon as the Anti-Tobacco Bill before the National Assembly was passed into law.
It also disclosed its readiness to convene a Universal Health Coverage to help boost strategies towards improving healthcare delivery.
Minister of Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, who spoke in Abuja, at a ministerial platform, insisted that the Federal Government could no longer condone smoking.
He asked rhetorically: “Why are you smoking? Why are you taking what will kill you? What benefit do you derive from smoking?”
Professor Chukwu listed his achievements in office in the last two years to include establishment of National Trauma Centres in the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital and the National Hospital, Abuja; completion of Federal Staff Hospital, Jabi, Abuja; completion of Laboratory and Administrative building of the Nigerian Institute of Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD), Abuja, and rehabilitation and equipping of several teaching hospitals in the country.
The minster disclosed that President Goodluck Jonathan increased funding for polio eradication to N4.7billion and made further commitment of N2.5billion this year with a Presidential Task Force on Polio Eradication constituted to help in the fight against the disease.
He said, “today in Nigeria, seven of our teaching hospitals can do kidney transplant. This month, we are expecting International Certification Team on the Elimination of Guinea Worm in Nigeria.”

:My Wife is Denying Me SEX Because Her Mother is Staying with US:

Hello Mr. Edeson, please help me publish my story. I want your ardent readers to advice me on what to do. Thank you.
“I’m happily married with two young kids ages 2 and 4. We stay in a 2-bedroom apartment and usually leave the connecting door ajar so that if the kids wake up during the night they may have access to our room to seek comfort, which is very frequent especially during these noisy thunder storms.

My problem started with the arrival of my mother-in-law, less than a week ago to spend 2 months. Of course, she sleeps with her grand kids in their room. This doesn’t stop them from frequenting our room during the night, so the door is still left ajar. Much to my amazement, my wife has now told me that she will no longer allow us to copulate during the time her mother is with us. She said her mum scolded her and feels we are rude to engage in lovemaking knowing fully well that she is in the adjoining room.

My wife has always feared her mum so it is impossible for me to convince her that this is her house, not her mum’s. I don’t see myself going one week without sex, talk less of 2 months! Is it my fault that the bed creaks or that my wife has to make noise at her height of ecstasy?

I feel that my mother-in-law is being very intrusive and insensitive and I’m prepared to talk to her and ask her to leave if she insists on tormenting my wife, but I know that my wife won’t find it funny at all. What should I do?
Guys, what is your advice for this man?
