Kiyosaki had used the Learning Annex platform to organize several high profile speaking engagements, including a 2002 appearance at Madison Square Garden.

Ex-Super Eagles Goalkeeper Peter Rufai days ago lost his elderly mum, Mrs Christiana Rufai, who was in her 80s. Peter is the second born of the Late MrsRufai, who has six children.

She passed away at her home in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State. Rufai, who returned to Nigeria from his base in Europe to start a youth sports development programme, was in the middle of a coaching clinic when his elder sister broke the news to him.

The Peoples Democratic Party has suspended its National Vice-Chairman in the North-East, Alhaji Girigiri Lawal, for indiscipline. The party stated this in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, in Abuja, on Friday. It said the party took the decision after listening to the defence of Girigiri.

According to the statement, Metuh said the National Working Committee of the party had invited him to come and defend himself on the allegation levelled against him.

It said that the Lawal was accused of breaching Articles 51(1)(b)(c) (h) of the party’s constitution.

The Kwara State Internal Revenue Service on Thursday dragged the authorities of the University of Ilorin to court for allegedly withholding about N971m taxes from the state.

The matter is before an Ilorin High Court presided over by Justice Ayinla Bamgbola.

According to the charge sheet made available to journalists in Ilorin, the plaintiff through its counsel, Funso Lawal, claimed the outstanding/debts arose from alleged unremitted taxes/levies due to the state government from the university.

The period, the statement added, covered between January 2004 and December 2008.

Following accusations that Nigerian born musician D’banj is a member of the world’s most powerful secret society, Illuminati, the Kokomaster has now come out to clear the air. He denied being a member of Illuminati, and claimed that the relationship he had with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music, is nothing but an official one.
