It generally is not a good thing but sometimes it must be filed for in order to allow the insolvent (a person who is racking up more in interest charges than they are able to pay) relief from creditors. The financial guru and author of New York Times bestseller 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad' has filed for bankruptcy on one of his companies after losing a $24 million judgement. This April, Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Global LLC was ordered to pay $23,687,957.21 to the Learning Annex and its founder and chairman, Bill Zanker. 
Kiyosaki had used the Learning Annex platform to organize several high profile speaking engagements, including a 2002 appearance at Madison Square Garden.

Super Eagles of Nigeria has qualified for 2013 African Nations Cup after beating Liberia 6-1

The Super Eagles of Nigeria this evening at the U.J. Esuene Stadium, Calabar, trashed the Lone Star of Liberia 6 (six) goals to one (1) during the second leg of 2013 Africa Nations Cup qualifier. The first leg ended 2-2 in Liberia a fortnight ago.

PDP suspends North-East National Vice-Chairman over Indiscipline

The Peoples Democratic Party has suspended its National Vice-Chairman in the North-East, Alhaji Girigiri Lawal, for indiscipline. The party stated this in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, in Abuja, on Friday. It said the party took the decision after listening to the defence of Girigiri.
According to the statement, Metuh said the National Working Committee of the party had invited him to come and defend himself on the allegation levelled against him.
It said that the Lawal was accused of breaching Articles 51(1)(b)(c) (h) of the party’s constitution.

Kwara sues UNILORIN for unremitted N971m taxes


The Kwara State Internal Revenue Service on Thursday dragged the authorities of the University of Ilorin to court for allegedly withholding about N971m taxes from the state.

The matter is before an Ilorin High Court presided over by Justice Ayinla Bamgbola.
According to the charge sheet made available to journalists in Ilorin, the plaintiff through its counsel, Funso Lawal, claimed the outstanding/debts arose from alleged unremitted taxes/levies due to the state government from the university.
The period, the statement added, covered between January 2004 and December 2008.

D’banj denies Illuminati affiliation

Following accusations that Nigerian born musician D’banj is a member of the world’s most powerful secret society, Illuminati, the Kokomaster has now come out to clear the air. He denied being a member of Illuminati, and claimed that the relationship he had with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music, is nothing but an official one.
He made this open declaration during an interview on the ‘Morning Show’ on the BEAT 99.9 FM. The rumour of D’banj having joined the Illuminati went viral early this year, when he broke up with his Nigerian business partner, Don Jazzy for a juicy contract with Kanye West.
